Basketball Game Preview: Glynn Academy Terrors vs. Camden County Wildcats

Glynn Academy and Camden County are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2017, but not for long. The Glynn Academy Terrors will be playing in front of their home fans against the Camden County Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Glynn Academy will come in still looking for their first win of the season.

On Saturday, Glynn Academy was beaten by Ware County 69-37. While losing is never fun, the Terrors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 461st, while the Gators are ranked 104th).

Meanwhile, Camden County earned a 71-61 victory over South Effingham on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wildcats.

Glynn Academy better focus on containing Caleb Reed and Mason Aikens as the pair were huge in Camden County's win. Reed posted 21 points and six steals, while Aikens went 6 of 11 from beyond the arc on his way to 20 points. The dominant performance gave Reed a new career-high in steals. The team also got some help courtesy of John Bowick, who had ten points and five rebounds.

Camden County smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in four consecutive matchups.

Camden County pushed their record up to 5-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Glynn Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-10.

Glynn Academy took a serious blow against Camden County in their previous meeting last Saturday, falling 82-32. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Glynn Academy was down 42-21.
