Volleyball Game Preview: Antwerp Archers vs. Paulding Panthers

The Antwerp Archers will square off against the Paulding Panthers at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Antwerp lost 3-0 to Ayersville on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Archers in their meetings with the Pilots: they've now lost four in a row.

While Antwerp was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Ayersville's winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-20, 25-23.

Meanwhile, Paulding came up short against Tinora on Tuesday and fell 3-1.

Paulding couldn't get the W, but boy did they fight for it: two sets took extra rallies. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 26-24, 17-25, 26-24.

Antwerp will have to contain Estie Pease as she made an impact in Paulding's last game. She had four digs and two aces. Pease is also crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 19 every time she's taken the court this season.

Paulding's defeat dropped their record down to 16-5. As for Antwerp, their loss dropped their record down to 4-17.
