Soccer Recap: Fairfield Prep Takes a Loss

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Fairfield Prep and Notre Dame, and Notre Dame kept the tradition alive. The Jesuits took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Green Knights on Monday. The match was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but Fairfield Prep couldn't quite close it out.

Fairfield Prep's loss dropped their record down to 10-5-5. As for Notre Dame, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-2-2.

Looking ahead, Fairfield Prep is taking a road trip to challenge Amity Regional at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Notre Dame, they will look to defend their home pitch on Friday against East Hartford at 4:00 p.m.
