Softball Recap: Barrow Arts and Sciences Academy's Luck Changes for the Better on Tuesday

Barrow Arts and Sciences Academy can bid farewell to their six-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Towns County Indians a 4-0 shutout. This was a revenge game for Barrow Arts and Sciences Academy: when they faced off against Towns County on August 11th, they had to take a 14-2 loss.

Not much got past Mackenzie Odom, who gave up just three hits to keep Towns County off the board.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Cali Bernat, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one stolen base. Hailey Whorton also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Barrow Arts and Sciences Academy's win bumped their record up to 2-6. As for Towns County, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-3.

Barrow Arts and Sciences Academy didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 15-0 loss against Hebron Christian on the 27th. As for Towns County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 7-3 defeat against Lake Oconee Academy on the 28th.
