Recap: Pittsfield Generals vs. Taconic Thunder
Even though the Pittsfield Generals have not done well against the Taconic Thunder recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Pittsfield snuck past Taconic with a 68-62 victory. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Pittsfield's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Pat Brennan, who scored 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Da'Sean Brown, who scored 17 points.
The victory makes it two in a row for Pittsfield and bumps their season record up to 8-5. As for Taconic, their loss ended a 20-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 9-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pittsfield will take on Agawam at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Taconic, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Monument Mountain at 7:00 p.m. Monument Mountain will be coming into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line.
