Basketball Recap: Parsons Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Parsons Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 62-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of Temple Christian Academy. The Lions lost against Temple Christian Academy in their previous head to head back in December of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 69-25 score last time.

Temple Christian Academy found their leader in freshman Maximus Smith, who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds. Joshua Manion was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Parsons Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Temple Christian Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Parsons Christian Academy Lions challenge the Duval Charter Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Temple Christian Academy, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Beachside at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Temple Christian Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.8 points per game this season.
