Metro-East Lutheran put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against the Bunker Hill Minutemen by a score of 55-48. This was payback for the Knights, who suffered a 54-49 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Bunker Hill lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Pete Jarden, who posted 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cole Yates, who scored 11 points.

Metro-East Lutheran's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Bunker Hill, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Metro-East Lutheran will venture away from home to square off against Carlinville at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Bunker Hill, they will head out on the road to face off against Edinburg at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
