Basketball Game Preview: Reedsville Panthers vs. St. Mary Catholic Zephyrs

Reedsville is 0-10 against St. Mary Catholic since January of 2020 but things could change on Thursday. The Reedsville Panthers will head out to square off against the St. Mary Catholic Zephyrs at 7:15 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Reedsville is headed into Thursday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Monday. They were beaten by Manitowoc Lutheran 70-27. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 304th, while the Lancers are ranked 26th).

Meanwhile, after a string of 14 wins, St. Mary Catholic's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 66-60 hit to the loss column at the hands of Winneconne.

St. Mary Catholic's defeat ended an eight-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-2. As for Reedsville, their loss dropped their record down to 6-14.

Reedsville suffered a grim 62-38 defeat to St. Mary Catholic when the teams last played back in January. Can Reedsville avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
