Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask LKY). They breezed past the Community Christian Academy Crusaders to the tune of 80-39 on Friday. The Saints have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 games by 20 points or more this season.
LKY's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Hannah Simmon, who went 10-for-18 to rack up 28 points and three steals. That makes it eight consecutive games in which Simmon has scored at least a third of LKY's points. Hayley Mattingly was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with 14 points and nine assists.
The win was the fourth in a row for LKY, bringing their record for this year to 17-7. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 31.8 points. As for Community Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
