Basketball Recap: Russellville Takes a Loss

Russellville lost against Farmington back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Russellville Cyclones were outmatched by the Farmington Cardinals and fell 67-35. While losing is never fun, the Cyclones can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 110th, while the Cardinals are ranked second).

Russellville's defeat dropped their record down to 6-16. As for Farmington, the win was the 15th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 25-1.

Looking ahead, Russellville won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Greenwood at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Farmington, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll square off against Mountain Home at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Farmington's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 15 matchups.
