Oak Park came tearing into Thursday's game with 17 straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the North Kansas City Hornets. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in April.

Oak Park had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-15, 25-17, 25-19.

Ben Place paced Oak Park's offense, picking up 14 kills. Place got some help from Brian Vergara and his 31 assists. Vergara was also solid from the service line: he led the team with three aces.
