Recap: Carolina M Mustangs vs. Varsity Opponent
The Carolina M Mustangs were the 48-36 winner over Varsity Opponent when they last played one another back in November, but their luck changed this time around. Carolina M fell 57-49 to Varsity Opponent on Friday. Carolina M has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Jahmari Smith and Cameron Marshall certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Smith scored 19 points along with 5 steals, while Marshall scored 15 points along with 7 rebounds. Marshall scored a full 30.6% of Carolina M's points, the fifth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Carolina M's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Varsity Opponent, they have yet to lose a game at home this season, leaving them with a 116-427-5 record.
Carolina M will be home for the holidays to greet Cristo Rey Research Triangle at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Varsity Opponent, they will head out on the road to face off against Pace Brantley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
