Softball Recap: Custer County Comes Up Short

Custer County came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 14-5 to the Fergus Golden Eagles. The loss continues a trend for the Cowboys in their meetings with the Golden Eagles: they've now lost four in a row.

Custer County saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Reygen Jensen, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Custer County's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Fergus, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Coming up, Custer County will venture away from home to take on Havre at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Cowboys' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Blue Ponies have averaged an impressive 10.5 runs per game this season. As for Fergus, they will challenge Lockwood at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
