Softball Game Preview: Pace Patriots vs. Bartow Yellow Jackets + How To Watch

The Pace Patriots will square off against the Bartow Yellow Jackets at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Pace comes in on nine and Bartow on 11.

Pace is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Parrish Community, sneaking past 2-1.

Hannah DeMarcus spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Pace's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Gracie Ueberroth, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, Bartow and Doral Academy (ranked 38th and 20th in the MaxPreps national rankings respectively) squared off in a high-profile contest on Friday. The Yellow Jackets had just enough and edged out the Firebirds 10-8. Bartow's win was all the more impressive since the Firebirds were averaging only 1.48 runs allowed on the season.

Bartow's victory bumped their record up to 28-3. As for Pace, their win bumped their record up to 26-4.

Pace skirted past Bartow 2-0 when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Will the Patriots repeat their success, or do the Yellow Jackets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
