Willows is 8-2 against Colusa since March of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Honkers will look to defend their home field against the RedHawks at 4:00 p.m. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Willows has struggled recently with three losses in a row, while Colusa will arrive with six straight victories.

Willows played against Durham on Friday and lost via forfeit.

Last Thursday, Colusa got the win against Paradise by a conclusive 12-2. The result was nothing new for the RedHawks, who have now won 11 matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Ava Garcia was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out 11 batters over 4.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 12 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and one double. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Elli Santana was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Caeden Agnew, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Colusa was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .455. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .310 or higher in six consecutive games.

Colusa pushed their record up to 12-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Willows, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-7.

Willows came out on top in a nail-biter against Colusa when the teams last played back in April of 2024, sneaking past 3-2. Do the Honkers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the RedHawks turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
