Groesbeck is on a three-game streak of home wins, while the Lions are on a four-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Groesbeck Goats will take on the Franklin Lions at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Groesbeck will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 782nd, while the Lions are ranked 246th).
Last Friday, Groesbeck suffered a tough 53-33 loss at the hands of the Panthers. Groesbeck was down 43-22 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
In what's become a running theme this season, Franklin gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Teague 61-22 on the road. The victory was just what Franklin needed coming off of a 74-54 loss in their prior contest.
Groesbeck has not been sharp recently as the team's lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-12 record this season. As for Franklin, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 20-6 record this season.
