Meanwhile, Galesburg came up short against DeKalb on Saturday and fell 2-0.
Sterling's defeat dropped their record down to 17-9-4. As for Galesburg, their loss dropped their record down to 5-20.
Sterling was able to grind out a solid victory over Galesburg in their previous meeting back in September, winning 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Sterling since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
