Baseball Recap: St. Charles Comes Up Short

St. Charles managed to slip by Lackey the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. St. Charles lost 14-8 to Lackey on Wednesday. St. Charles' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it seven in a row dating back to last season.

Robert Generette made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyke Hunter, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

St. Charles' defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Lackey, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

St. Charles has already played their next match, an 18-5 win against Thomas Stone on the 28th. As for Lackey, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 14-2 loss against Leonardtown on the 28th.
