Softball Recap: Clarkdale Bulldogs vs. Wayne County War Eagles

Clarkdale proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by 12) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Wayne County War Eagles, sneaking past 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Bulldogs have posted since February 14th.
Clarkdale saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mallory Meadows, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-5.
Clarkdale's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-9. As for Wayne County, their loss dropped their record down to 5-12-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Clarkdale will square off against Newton at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wayne County, they will take on Meridian at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
