Soccer Game Preview: Unity Christian vs. Forest Hills Central

The Unity Christian Crusaders are taking a road trip to take on the Forest Hills Central Rangers at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are still undefeated (Unity Christian has seven wins , while Forest Hills Central has six).

Unity Christian is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They never let Holland get on the board and left with a 10-0 win on Wednesday. The final result isn't all the surprising considering Unity Christian's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan soccer rankings (they are ranked first, while Holland are ranked 169th).

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last contest, Forest Hills Central made sure to put some goals up on the board against Ottawa Hills on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by an 11-0 margin over the Bengals. The matchup marked Forest Hills Central's most dominant victory of the season so far.

Unity Christian's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-0. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 29 goals over those four games. As for Forest Hills Central, their win bumped their record up to 6-0.

Unity Christian took their victory against Forest Hills Central in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Crusaders since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
