You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter and that's exactly how it played out for Valparaiso on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 58-35 margin over the Hammond Central Wolves. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Vikings also won the last time the pair played back in February.

Valparaiso had a senior duo take command as Lilli Barnes went 8-for-17 on her way to 20 points along with eight assists and seven steals and Cadynce Clark shot 67% from the field to rack up 18 points and four steals. Clark is also on a roll when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy, as she's posted one of at least 50% in the last three games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Bri Fincannon, who posted six points.

Valparaiso has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 54.5 points this season. As for Hammond Central, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.
