Baseball Preview: Paulding Panthers vs. Allen East Mustangs        
        
		
            
 Paulding is 3-0 against Allen East since May of 2016, and they'll have a chance to extend that success  on Monday. The Paulding Panthers will head out on the road to  challenge  the Allen East Mustangs at 5:00  p.m. Paulding's pitching crew has only allowed 3.9  runs per game  this season, so Allen East's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
 Last Friday, Paulding earned  a  6-3 win over Pandora-Gilboa.
  Greyson Harder was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out ten batters over  seven innings while giving up just one earned  (and two unearned) runs off   five  hits (and not a single walk). Harder has been consistent recently: he hasn't  given up  more than one  walk in five consecutive pitching appearances. Harder was also big at the plate,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Kane Jones, who  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while going 3-for-4.
 Meanwhile, Allen East fell victim to Bluffton and their airtight pitching crew  on Friday. They fell just short of the Pirates by a score of  2-0. Having soared to a lofty 14  runs in the game before, Allen East's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
 Paulding has  been performing  well recently as they've  won six of their last eight contests,  which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record  this season. As for Allen East, their loss dropped their record down to 9-12.
 Paulding came out on top in a nail-biter against Allen East  when the teams last played  back in April of 2019, sneaking past  2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Paulding since the  squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
