Jacobs had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 13-run drubbing they dealt Crystal Lake South on Thursday. The Golden Eagles' pitchers stepped up to hand the Gators a 13-0 shutout. The Golden Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by six runs or more this season.

Olivia Fillipp was excellent, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Talia Disilvio, who went 3-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Jacobs now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Crystal Lake South, they are on a 14-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-11.

Looking ahead, Jacobs will face off against Prairie Ridge at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Wolves' pitching crew has only allowed two runs per game this season, so the Golden Eagles' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Crystal Lake South, they will challenge Dundee-Crown at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
