Soccer Recap: Contreras Comes Up Short

Contreras was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Belmont Sentinels. While losing is never fun, the Cobras can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 910th, while the Sentinels are ranked 330th).

Contreras' loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Belmont, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-5.

Contreras has already played their next game, a 5-2 defeat against Bernstein on the 7th. As for Belmont, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next matchup, a 5-4 win against Hollywood on the 7th.
