Basketball Recap: Franklin Continues Home Dominance on Friday

Franklin extended their home winning streak to seven games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from Allison De La O. The Franklin Cougars enjoyed a cozy 57-41 victory over the Dobson Mustangs on Friday thanks in part to De La O, who went 6 for 10 on her way to 18 points in addition to six assists and five boards. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played.

Another player making a difference was Danielle Escobedo, who went 5 of 10 en route to 11 points and five rebounds. She continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.

Franklin is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.6 points per game. As for Dobson, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.

Franklin wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 67-45 loss against Salpointe Catholic on the 7th. As for Dobson, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 36-33 win against El Dorado on the 7th.
