Baseball Recap: Master's Academy Starts Season with Win Against Tradition Prep

Master's Academy gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Tradition Prep Pirates as the Master's Academy Patriots made off with a 10-3 win. The Patriots have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Pirates, too.

JT McLaughlin was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk). McLaughlin was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing one base while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, Jacob Cotgreave was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3. Another player making a difference was Luke Bona, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-4.

Master's Academy will host Centennial at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Tradition Prep, they will head out on the road to square off against Central at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
