Soccer Game Preview: Clinton vs. North Pitt

Clinton is on an eight-game streak of home wins, while North Pitt is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Dark Horses will host the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams each escaped with close wins against their previous opponents.

Clinton is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. Their defense stepped up to hand Carrboro a 1-0 shutout. Clinton wouldn't have won without Emilson Marcia, who scored the game-winner.

Meanwhile, it may have taken extra minutes to finish the job, but North Pitt ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They had just enough and edged out Roanoke Rapids 2-1. That's two games straight that North Pitt have won by just one goal.

North Pitt's win bumped their record up to 20-2-2. As for Clinton, their victory bumped their record up to 24-2.
