Baseball Recap: Five Straight Home Victories for Northside Falcons Homeschool

After losing to Gregory-Portland the last time they met, Northside Falcons HomeSchool decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Northside Falcons HomeSchool Falcons walked away with an 8-3 victory over the Gregory-Portland Wildcats on Thursday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Falcons.

Kaleb Steiger was incredible, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Hunter Kocurek was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Northside Falcons HomeSchool pushed their record up to 11-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games. As for Gregory-Portland, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5.

Northside Falcons HomeSchool wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 3-3 draw against Lumberton on the 7th. As for Gregory-Portland, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 12-4 loss against Hardin-Jefferson on the 6th.
