Basketball Recap: Lutheran Takes a Loss

After some red-hot attacks on offense in their last three matchups, Lutheran finally came back down to earth on Wednesday. They were beaten by the Arbor Prep Gators 63-24. The Warriors have struggled against the Gators recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Several Warriors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Aiden Burk, who posted three points.

Even though they lost, Lutheran smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in five consecutive contests.

Lutheran's defeat dropped their record down to 7-16. As for Arbor Prep, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 15-9.

Lutheran does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Arbor Prep, they will take on Plymouth Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
