Baseball Recap: Blountstown Comes Up Short

Blountstown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They came up short against the Bozeman Bucks, falling 15-5. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bucks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-2 last Thursday.

Isaac Roberts made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs while going 2-for-4. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024. Marcus Cloud Jr also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Even though they lost, Blountstown was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Blountstown's defeat dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Bozeman, the victory was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Blountstown will face off against Marianna at 12:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Bozeman, they will square off against Santa Fe Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
