St. Joseph Academy extended their winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Sean Ambuul. The Crusaders walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Del Lago Academy Firebirds on Thursday with plenty of help from Ambuul, who had 13 digs, two blocks, and two aces. He is on a roll when it comes to aces, as he's now served two or more in each of the last four games he's played.

St. Joseph Academy walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the third set). The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 24-26, 25-12, 25-22.

St. Joseph Academy's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-4. As for Del Lago Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-18 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Joseph Academy will head out to square off against Calvin Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Del Lago Academy, they will take on Escondido Adventist Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
