Softball Preview: Anacortes Seahawks vs. Sehome Mariners
The Anacortes Seahawks will head out on the road to square off against the Sehome Mariners at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the pair will really light up the scoreboard.

Even though they lost, Anacortes was hitting in the alleys and finished the game with seven doubles. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Ferndale only hit four.
Meanwhile, Sehome was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 13-10 to Lynden Christian.
Anacortes' defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Sehome, their loss dropped their record down to 6-10.
Anacortes came out on top in a nail-biter against Sehome in their previous matchup back in May of 2023, sneaking past 21-20. The rematch might be a little tougher for Anacortes since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
