Basketball Recap: Cohen Hoodless' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Central over T.R. Miller

It was a proper cat-fight when Central took on T.R. Miller on Saturday. The Central Jaguars took a 58-40 bruising from the T.R. Miller Tigers. The match marked the Jaguars' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Central's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cohen Hoodless, who posted six points. Carson Baxley was another key player, putting up seven points.

Eli Hubbert was nothing short of spectacular for T.R. Miller: he went 6 of 10 on his way to 20 points and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Myles Johnson, who had ten points and six assists.

Central has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-3 record this season. As for T.R. Miller, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.

Central wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 56-45 defeat against Baker on the 10th. As for T.R. Miller, they will face off against Thomasville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
