Soccer Recap: Clinton Takes a Loss

Clinton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Orion/Sherrard United, falling 5-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Clinton of the 3-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Clinton's loss dropped their record down to 0-3-1. As for Orion/Sherrard, they pushed their record up to 7-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Clinton didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 10-0 defeat against Wilton on the 8th. As for Orion/Sherrard, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next contest, a 7-0 victory against Rock Island on the 9th.
