Softball Recap: Belle Plaine Takes a Loss

Belle Plaine was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Springville Orioles, falling 13-2. On the bright side, the two- run effort marked the Plainsmen's highest-scoring contest to date.

Belle Plaine's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Springville, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-2.

Coming up, Belle Plaine will host English Valleys at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Springville, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 6-2 loss against Woodward-Granger on the 31st.
