Soccer Game Preview: Ocean Springs vs. Arnold

Ocean Springs hasn't had much luck against Arnold recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Ocean Springs Greyhounds will be playing in front of their home fans against the Arnold Marlins at 5:00 p.m. Ocean Springs will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

Last Tuesday, everything went Ocean Springs' way against D'Iberville as Ocean Springs made off with a 5-1 win. The Greyhounds might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by four goals or more this season.

Meanwhile, Arnold kept a clean sheet against Florida State University High School on Friday. They had just enough and edged the Seminoles out 1-0. Given the Marlins' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 27th, while the Seminoles are ranked 90th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Arnold's victory bumped their record up to 5-1-2. As for Ocean Springs, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.
