Basketball Recap: South Sumter Comes Up Short

South Sumter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They lost 36-13 to the East Ridge Knights. While losing is never fun, the Raiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 571st, while the Knights are ranked 215th).

South Sumter's defeat dropped their record down to 1-13. As for East Ridge, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-3.

South Sumter didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 36-28 loss against Hope Academy on the 16th. East Ridge has also already played their next matchup (against Lyman), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
