Basketball Recap: Newtown Picks Up Seventh Consecutive Win

Newtown came tearing into Wednesday's matchup with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 42.5 points) and they left with even more momentum. They took down the Aviation Flyers 64-47. That's more bragging rights for the Pioneers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Newtown pushed their record up to 9-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.8 points per game. As for Aviation, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-3 record this season.
