Baseball Game Preview: St. Michael Catholic Cardinals vs. Citronelle Wildcats

A feisty cat fight will be fought as the Cardinals duke it out with the Wildcats at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Michael Catholic has now lost 25 straight dating back to last season, leaving the team hunting for their first win since the 23rd.

St. Michael Catholic came up short against Foley on Saturday, falling 12-2. That's two games in a row now that the Cardinals have lost by exactly ten runs.

Meanwhile, Citronelle won against Excel on Saturday with ten runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Saturday. Citronelle beat Perry Central by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 10-6. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wildcats.

Citronelle let Curvin Noyd and Jaden Stagner loose on the outfield. Noyd scored three runs and stole six bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances, while Stagner scored a run and stole three bases while going 2-for-3. Kohen White was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

St. Michael Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Citronelle, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
