Basketball Recap: Friday's Win Is Terry's Sixth in Last Seven Outings

Terry won the last time they faced West Jones, and Zion Nelson did her part to make sure it happened again. The Terry Bulldogs managed a 46-42 win over the West Jones Mustangs on Friday thanks in part to Nelson, who went 5 of 7 on her way to 18 points and seven rebounds. Those 18 points gave her a new career-high.

The team also got some help courtesy of Madison Jones, who posted four points along with eight boards and five blocks. Jones is crushing it when it comes to blocks: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season.

Terry is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. As for West Jones, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Terry will host Hattiesburg at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for West Jones, they will welcome Pearl River Central at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
