Baseball Game Preview: Hargrave Military Academy Tigers vs. Virginia Episcopal School Bishops

Hargrave Military Academy is 0-10 against Virginia Episcopal School since April of 2019 but things could change on Monday. Campbell Howard made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has become a key player for Virginia Episcopal School: the team is undefeated when he allows at most two hits, but 3-4 otherwise. Howard was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.

In other batting news, Caden Godsie and Jack Mitchell did most of the damage at the plate: Godsie scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances, while Mitchell scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Another player making a difference was Lawrence Dempsey, who scored two runs and stole a base.

Virginia Episcopal School hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in four consecutive matchups.

Virginia Episcopal School's victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Hargrave Military Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.
