Volleyball Recap: Overland Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Overland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They came up short against the Grandview Wolves, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wolves this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-17, 25-14.

Arely Luna paced Overland's offense, picking up two kills. Luna got some help from Abigail Napitupulu and her four assists. Finally, Aubrey Butler kept Overland's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Among those leading the charge was Samantha Foster, who had six digs and five aces. Those five aces gave her a new career-high.

Overland's loss dropped their record down to 3-19. As for Grandview, their victory bumped their record up to 7-11.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Overland is set to challenge their familiar foe Arapahoe at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Grandview will face off against rival Smoky Hill at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
