Baseball Recap: Northeast Jones Victorious

Northeast Jones hadn't done well against Taylorsville recently (they were 1-6 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. Northeast Jones came out on top against Taylorsville by a score of 7-3. For the Tigers, this counts as revenge for the 2-1 win the Tartars walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2024.

Asher McBride spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on five hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Kaden Padgett, who scored three runs and stole four bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Northeast Jones is undefeated when Padgett posts two or more runs, but 5-6-1 otherwise.
