Baseball Recap: Tuesday's Loss Ends Mountain View's Winning Streak

Mountain View scored first but ultimately less than Capital in their game on Tuesday. They took a 9-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Golden Eagles. Mavericks fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Golden Eagles since on Tuesday.

Owen Perry was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single earned run over 5.2 innings pitched.

At the plate, Tav Hiaring and Cooper Schneidt stepped up to the plate in a big way. Hiaring went 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI, while Schneidt went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two RBI. That home run marked the first that Hiaring launched this season.
