Baseball Recap: Cimarron Bluejays vs. Southwestern Heights Mustangs
Cimarron had lost three straight on the road, but on Thursday they dropped down to 2-3 to make it four. They fell just short of the Southwestern Heights Mustangs by a score of 6-5. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bluejays of the 10-8 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2025.
Logan Heddlesten put in work no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. Heddlesten was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.

Saucedo has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played. Randy Thiessen also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.
The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Cimarron beat Southwestern Heights by a score of 12-0 later that day.
