David St Marie was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out eight batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit (and only one walk). Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI. That double marked the first that he hit this season.
In other pitching news, Jackson Finn looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.
Back at the plate, Zack Hale and Carter Patrick did most of the damage at the plate: Hale went 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two doubles, while Patrick scored two runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. The dominant performance also gave Patrick a new career-high in RBI (two). Zach Mediavilla was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-4.
The Classical Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .379. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Manitou Springs only posted a batting average of .077.
Meanwhile, Mitchell lost 14-4 to Salida on Tuesday.

Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. The Classical Academy has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10 hits per game. However, it's not like Mitchell struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 5.3 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
