Baseball Recap: Menendez Comes Up Short

Menendez was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 12-5 to the St. Joseph Academy Flashes. The Falcons were not able to make up for their defeat to the Flashes from their previous meeting back in March of 2024.

Menendez saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Reeve Power, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-3. The dominant performance gave Power a new career-high in stolen bases. Another was Lucas Drake, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one RBI.

Menendez's loss dropped their record down to 4-10. As for St. Joseph Academy, they pushed their record up to 11-1-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Menendez will head out to face off against Rickards at 4:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for St. Joseph Academy, they will venture away from home to challenge St. Augustine at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
