South View put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They never let the Purnell Swett Rams get on the board and left with a 3-0 victory. The three-run effort marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring match of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Not much got past JORDYNN PARNELL, who gave up just three hits and racked up 13 Ks to keep Purnell Swett off the board. PARNELL has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up a single earned run in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on PAIGE FORD, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. MADDY CLARK was another key player, scoring a run while going 3-for-3.

South View was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .355 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.

South View pushed their record up to 7-0 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.5 runs on average over those games. As for Purnell Swett, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-6.

South View wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Gray's Creek on the 18th. As for Purnell Swett, they will host Douglas Byrd at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
