Softball Recap: Blue Eye Comes Up Short

Blue Eye was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Southwest Trojans, falling 16-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the 13-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Blue Eye's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Southwest, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.

Looking ahead, Blue Eye will head out on the road to take on Verona at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Blue Eye is facing Verona at the right time seeing as Verona is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Southwest, they will host Miller at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Southwest will need to watch out since Miller has now posted at least ten runs every time they've taken the field this season.
