Volleyball Recap: SkyView Academy Comes Up Short

SkyView Academy lost against Dayspring Christian Academy back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Hawks took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles. The Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-17, 16-25, 25-16.

Mei Li Scholl paced SkyView Academy's offense, picking up eight kills. Scholl got some help from Lyla Kostiuk and her 16 assists. Finally, Evelyn Gilbert kept SkyView Academy's defense grounded, leading the team with five blocks.

SkyView Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Dayspring Christian Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-6 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. SkyView Academy will square off against rival Clear Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Dayspring Christian Academy is set to challenge their familiar foe Estes Park at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
